I Have a Dream
I Have a Dream 2026 will take place on Friday, February 13th at The Chapel at Scott’s Addition (1808 Mactavish Ave).
Doors will open at 6:00 and performances will begin at 6:30pm!
Celebrating our Students’ Gifts and Talents
I Have a Dream is a spiritually grounded, community-wide celebration where Youth Life students are seen, celebrated, and encouraged. Each February, students take the stage to share poems, speeches, songs, and dances—naming who they are, what they dream, and how God has created them uniquely and beautifully.
Surrounded by friends, family, and caring adults who speak life and truth over them, students are given a powerful platform to showcase their gifts and talents. The evening also features student artwork for sale, a T-shirt table, a letter-writing station, and meaningful opportunities to support and give back to our incredible youth.
We host this event in February to honor Black History Month and (belatedly) Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Around 92% of our student population is Black/African American, and we believe that it is especially important to celebrate that part of their identity.
2026’s event will be our eighteenth annual I Have a Dream!
