in the following areas: reading, writing, listening, mathematics,

Short-term Goals:

Outcome testing and measurement will be conducted and documented
throughout the year by the teachers to monitor each child’s
progress towards these goals. A variety of data collection tools
will be used including, but not limited to:
- Each child’s report card and school test scores.
- Pre- and post-tests.
- Wechsler Abbreviated Scale of Intelligence Test (WASI)
and Wechsler Individual Achievement Test (WIAT) scores.
- Surveys of parents, teachers and neighbors .
- Recipients of Excellent Attendance Award
at Glen Lea Elementary School.
- YLFR’s teacher anecdotal notes.
Short-term goals are designed to expose students to increased
knowledge, skills and attitudes. Intermediate goals are designed
to give the children an opportunity to demonstrate changed behavior
as a result of the new knowledge. Both short-term and intermediate
goals will move the students towards the long-range goal of providing
positive impacts and influences on a new generation.
We will be held accountable to all who give to the Youth Life
Foundation of Richmond. Donors will receive newsletters
highlighting the achievements of our children throughout the
year. We will be successful if our children learn to make sound
decisions for themselves. Accordingly, Darrell Green's Youth
Life Foundation has a proven success rate in high school graduation,
avoidance of at-risk behaviors, and on-the-job leadership skills.
